Hi

Anyone using these ?

I've just ordered some and note they don't have a balance lead.

Does the ThunderPower balancer cater for the receiver packs?

Thanx

They are only two cell, and are discharged pretty slowly compared to flight packs. Balancing would be a waste of time, IMO.

My TP 4000mah pack doesnt even have a balancing tap.

Just charge with a lipo charger with a regular rx female plug.

I thought the same thing myself, but it's nice to have it confirmed by someone who's using them

Thanx for the replies

He is talking about the "R" sereis of LiPo's that TP is selling that are designed specifically for Receiever/airborn pack usage..

If in doubt lean it out . We don't do this to save money, we save money to do this

I would like some feedback on the size and fitment of those packs. I am using a protek 3000mah on my raptor. No balance tap and it has been fine so far. Fits in there pretty good but I would have preferred a nice square pack that fit on the shelf without hanging off.

Although there is a "R" series available, I still prefer the normal series because of discharge rate and balancing plug. TP2100mAh here... 98gr, 15C discharge rate and balancing plug

I will check out TP's site, the protek I'm using will keep me going without probs, I would have preferred it to be fatter and taller as opposed to thin and longer.

It was pretty cheap though so I figured it wouldn't hurt to have and if I find something I like better I will pick it up. No balancing tap but as has been stated, it probably isn't going to be an issue on a 2s pack.

Hi guys

I realise most of you guys are brand loyal.....but have a look at Flight Power Rx packs. They have balance leads. My balancer does do some balancing every time i charge it. The situation will slowly get worse if it is never balanced....but you all knew that, otherwise this thread would not exist.

Regards
Paul

The battery part number is THP42002S2PPL. Just GOOGLE that, and it comes up all sorts of places.

pwood , I don't balance every time if you do not abuse battery , not balancing has not hurt mine also depending what charger you use makes a bigger difference than balancing . I like to use TP Pro-lite series because if I need to I can charge at 2C
