i ran an os 32 in my 30 size airwolf with a stock muffler on 15% and it ran like a scalded dawg! dont think you will have any worries with the 37. the airwolf weighed 8 1/2 lBS. I did add a little xtra synthetic oil to the fuel during the simmer and i had a healthy head speed of about 1700 rpm.

drive a rotary, fly a rotorcraft

You will have no problems at all with the 37. I too had a 530 with a 37 and also ran 600mm blades. I burned 30% in it and it was all the power I needed for scale flying. I had complete confidence in it and was capable of loops. Also, I really liked the 600mm blades with it. I needed to keep the throttle curve up a bit, but really not bad. Unfortunately I sold the model late last year and I miss it so much that I just ordered a Century 500D for my Raptor 50. What a great helicopter and my favorite back in my army aviation days.

many thanx for that i have loads of 550mm blades so i think i will try those first or do you think 600mm would give a better lift ,i was thinking 600mm would be a bit hard on os 37 ,thanx.

The 600 will definately provide higher lift just like an airplane with a bigger wing provides more lift. But the other part of it is that the larger blades looked better to me than the small blades. I found the larger blades to be much more responsive. That little 37 is a heck of an engine and will produce enough power for you. The 50 Hyper is a high performance engine and is actually more than you would ever need in a scaler unless you are barn storming hard.
