I can't seem to figure out what is set wrong or different in my setup. When I switch from normal to Idle up the heli jumps up slightly. It is adding about 1-2 dgrees of positive pitch. I have checked my pitch curves, deactivated all levers (JR 9303). I have zero degrees at center stick. What am I missing?

Your normal and idle1 pitch curves need to be identical for positions 3,4 and 5.

make sure your pitch trim slider is not activated (the black slider on the left and right side of the TX), and also make sure your Hover pitch trim is centered.

do you have a huge amout of different headspeeds between them, if you headspeed is higher in idle up it will climb

Inkspot got it right.
If it climbs, then I would assume you have a substantial change in RPM. Usually if your pitch curves are not identical the heli drops when going to idle up.

Just do it.

Sure you have this done already, but have you deactivated the trim levers in all modes? Trim settings the same in all modes?

The movement occurs on the bench and the air. All trims are either the same or inhibited. pitch curves are the same and expo is on in all modes. pitch is 25/50/100 in normal and 0/50/100 in idle up. the jump accurs no matter where the collective is.

I agree with Ink, check your throttle curves.

Have you checked your Hover Pitch/Hover Throttle Rocker switches? Not sure if that would help, but it does affect The Normal Mode, which in return could be causing a change of throttle/pitch when switching from Normal to Idle up. Just a suggestion.

Good Luck!!

Mine is set up the same in all modes too but mine jumps due to a leap in throttle. It is quite normal. I assume your HS is governed?

You can either just make sure you are airborne when you change modes or change modes on the ground at slightly below half stick.

im not familiar with jr transmitters as im useing futaba but does the jr have a delay setting on it if so put delay on pitch and throttle, once youve done that if theres a diffrence in pitch or throttle insteadof jumping in it will slowly change over

The jump has nothing to do with the RPM, I run a multi gov. The movement accurs on the bench with the engine not running. I have checked all of my swithes in all modes, pitch curves, trim, expo,DR and so on. I have even used a reset program in the transmitter and I still get the movement. Like I said, The servos move up about 1* of pitch when you move the switch from normal to idle 1, it does not cause a flyability issue just bugs me that it does it and I can't find the issue. What am I missing?
