Hi All,

Just swapped the standard TX and rate gyro for a lovely spectrum DX7 and the esky HH gyro but still using the standard non-digital esky tail servo. Should the heading hold gyro provide heading hold and rate modes whilst using the standard tail servo as I'm stuck in heading hold mode only as the Aux2 and Gear switches are not responding even though I have set the TX to Gear/Gear.

Set gear to gyro and then assign the switch you want in the gyro setup screen. On the other hand, being stuck in HH mode is not necessarily a bad thing, better than being stuck in rate mode

FWIW, I've never been happy with the way the gyro worked when using the gear/gear settings on a DX7, I find it works much better set to gear/gyro.

You need to set the + and - settings in your radio for hte gear switch to change you in and out of HH... I think I used 64 and 32 for mine.....

Why do you want to use rate mode when you have a HH gyro?

For one thing the gyro sh0uld be set up in rate mode first for mechanical center and some of the scale fliers like rate mode for a more realistic look. being able to switch with the flip of a switch is nice but does use up a channel

I'll buy that - thanks. I use my switch to have slightly different HH values in the different flight modes...

Happy Flying!
