Started building the E325SE MT and I came across
2 items that I came across during the build
1) In assembling the Ball Links for the Head
It stated you could use the 1-1 diagrams (pg. 12)
for MM spread for each ball link by placing
the link on the Manual for size, NOT TRUE.
The measurements are out of scale by 3 to 4mm
2)The set screws for the Main shaft have an extra
hole, mid & bottom, for an addtional set screw,
I usesed this for better securing?

I’m not sure if this is correct, but it sure makes sense to me,
Put some T22 also on them.

1) yep I also noticed that. I use a vernier on the side with the T to measure the outer edges. If I want 18MM centre to centre add 3.6Mmm (dia of ball link) = 21.6MM end to end. This makes it easier to get them accurate.

Also yes I put the extra set screw in. I never use the supplied loctite, it is more of a permanent loctite. Loctite 243 is the best, I bought a bottle as I use it a lot. It is easier to remove that way.

I use 243, blue one.

In my kit I got a red one which is like loctite 262 stud lock, its more permanent.

Yes, I found the additional set screws in one of the bonus bags.

I had a bag of screws and another bag with head shims and other misc stuff leftover after completing the build.
I went over the instruction manual again thinking I screwed up somewhere..

I also did not use the loctite (or whatever) that was provided in the kit. I used blue loctite.

Thats one thing I hate, some of the screw bags are mixed up, I wish all the parts for each step were in the one bag and they left a bonus bag of spares at the end.

Its no big deal but it just makes it slower to build sometimes.
