The question is just when not if, i need to decide what to get. Can anyone or maybe some Align "insiders" hint a word or two here, i'll be ready to get Either a T-rex 700 E or a Raptor 60/90 to convert to Electric within 2 months, i am willing to wait up to 6 months for a T-rex 700E which will be my first choice. Should i just go for the raptor 60/90 and convert or will i have to wait until Christmas for a electric 700?

I think the immediate plan is for a 700N. If you want a 90 sized electric, I'd have you look at the Miniature Aircraft Ion. I bet it would be about the same as getting a raptor 90 and then converting it. Plus MA has some of the most solid helis on the market. I love my stratus.

That’s exactly what I am hearing – 700N this year, 700E some time after that but no idea when.

even if align did not make the 700 electric (which is unlikely) you can bet there will be many e-conversions.

I've had many large lipo helis (maxijoker 2, 2.5M span Vario XLV) but they always scare me - the cost to repare if I crash, made worse because there is just about no 3rd party parts, and high price spares from germany.

You know that the 700 will be E (even if dozens of other companies make the conversion) - that it will be relatively cheap to buy, high quality, with spares abundant from align, the many dealers, etc. Everyone will make upgrades and 3rd part spares.

If I crash my maxijoker - there is only 1 UK dealer selling at full retail. there are no other companies making mod's or spares.

I look forward to the 700E and the great package align will put together. I'd wait for that and forget the raptor

Dont think the Raptor has CCPM , dont think I could convert back after flying all aligns CCPM stuff now , seems like a backward step.

Would rather convert the 700N to an E than a Raptor , you may be the first person to do it also.

Never know the 700E may still come if we rant enough !!!!!!!!

Im sure we are being listened too

That's the spirit!!

No i don't want a strectched 600 heli, i want the big brother of 'em all and E it has to be, Align T-rex 700E that is.

I must say, i also will find it hard to go back to mechanical mixing, so let's keep up the 700 ELECTRIC spirit, show them you've have to have one!

If they could keep giving me bits and pieces of candy to make me believe it will be done in a reasonable amount of time at least, i might just be willing to wait a bit longer before converting a raptor

I ran 3 motors so far , 1st one was the Kontronic 45-06 on 12s , theres a video of it in my gallery , this was the second test of the conversion , motor looked like it was doing good , but I dont think its upto snuff on lasting long with 710s . motor life ended that flight
I also tried the Ork 1915 1.5 Y KV 450 , did great , but ran hot ,
and then the 32-3 , thats the one I like the most, no heating issues , and puts out great power , the things Im alittle worried about , stripping gears with 12s and the 32-3 , but the machine only weighes like 9lbs 6 oz with 12s 5000 . thats one of the reasons why Im thinking the gear is holding up , I ran a 2000 rpm gov with all three motor , and 12 degrees of pitch

Nice LJS, once they put the canopy on it just doesn't look as well as a tr-rex anymore, let's hope the canopy is more "styled" for the 700, really the heli structure looks good, and that motor almost looks like a turbine yeow! I wonder if it sounds like one

There is the E-stratus, looking more "styled" to me with it's canopy
on. Also a considering option, but not quite as sleek looking as the T-rex to me. I like the top mounted motor of the century.
