When I spool up the heli, the nose goes to the left. So I have to give some right rudder stick constantly. I'm using a stock rate gyro. Do I need to slide the tail servo to get more tail pitch??

At spool-up, the headspeed may not be high enough to provide enough spin to the tail to counteract the motor's torque, so left yaw on the ground is to be expected, to a certain extent.

Now, if it still wants to yaw left while in a hover, you'll need to move the servo towards the front of the heli. Make servo position changes in ½ - 1mm increments until the tail wants to stay relatively straight. Increase the gyro gain until the tail starts to wag, then back off the gain just until the twitch goes away.

A soul in tension is learning to fly
