After a crash I am replacing the swash servos on my Mini Titan with HS-65MG, but keeping the existing stock tail servo (Ace RC C0915). I am also changing the stock ESC to an Align RCE-BL35X (with a 6V BEC).

Does anyone know if a 6V BEC is ok with the Ace RC C0915? I cannot seem to find much in the way of the usual specs for these servos.

Are most servos made to run off either 4.8v or 6v (or is this a bit dangerous and could lead to burning out the C0915)?

thanks!

ok, so no one uses Ace RC servos...

no thoughts on use of 6V on a 4.8V servo - should I just assume it will burn up?

thanks!

I did a search, and did not find this servo on US distributor's lists. There is one place in the UK, does not mention voltage rating at all.

Ace's own website does not list it either, and I think the Ace servos are not very popular in the states here.

Rule of thumb- Servos of a particular class (micro, nano, etc) that are very fast generally are not rated for higher voltages. There are only a few exceptions. Based on that, I would not feed it 6V, but use a step down. Performance should not be altered by that much- and its not worth the risk (having recently burned a tail servo by over-voltage, I am gun shy).

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.
