Okay, I'am thinking about getting one of these to fly in the backyard. This is not my first heli but my question is and I don't really see anyone reporting, just how good does it fly right out of the box????? I just want something to go out back and have some fun, I already have a TREX 600N Pro for nitro and I already made an offer on a 400 blade so give me your honest opinion

I like the way it flies! For the price ya can't beat it. Yes the t rex flies better but for the amount of money its just as good. Of course there are some things people change on them but it all just depends on how the person wants their heli to fly. I love mine.

I hear there are lots of Trex 450 for sale since a lot want to move up to the 500. Thats how I got mine and it flies great in the backyard, where I can't fly my gasser. I thought it would be hard to fly after my large ones, but to my surprise, it is quite stable and very quick.

I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ?

i havent heard much about that....(not to start a flame war) but i still think the t-rex isnt worth selling to get a blade 400, especially right after they first release. theres bound to be some bugs

I got mine from the LHS, check over the settup carefully (found nothing that couldn't be dialed in with the TX) and have flown it now for 14 hours without any problems. The belt was a bit tight at first but I like the way it feels now.

I'm running a 2500rmp HS and like the way it feels. I don't do "3D" but push hard sport flying and find it very smooth and dialed in. In flying, it feels lighter than a TRex because it is...doesn't feel as snappy as a V2 SE with a power setup but that's never been of any value to my type of flying anyhow.

I'm thinking it will make a really good scale platform and since that's my game....probably where it will find its true job. Its so smooth that scale flying is what it does unless you ask for more....almost automatically scale like...smooth and predictable. That's something I haven't found in any other stock model.

For those that like 3D....well, we've seen great vid examples of how capable it is in that regard as well.

I'll be dumping the RX/TX so I can put it on the TX I use for everything but I found no problems using the stock TX or setting the heli up using it. Great price, great heli.

from all the stories on the web, it seems to be a stout little heli when crashed as well. Parts prices are VERY competitive.

BTW - for those that care, I changed to deans plugs and run TP PL 2100s....sold the stock battery and charger brand new.
