Did you do any of the glitch mods?

Also where did you mount the receiver(s)?

I am building mine now.

Thanks,

Harold

I know you are breaking in but once you get going you should be able to get 8 plus of 3D/sport on 15t. 16t is a little more robust and you still get 7 plus.

If you have not done it yet, drop the tray so that the top of it is level with the bottom of the battery strap slot in the frame. Makes a better fit and gives you more balancing room.

That is good to hear that you don't have any problems on your maiden flight... btw do you have the GF or CF frame? just curious...

Do yourself the favor of at least grounding the frame... It is a fact that the frame is emitting noise and grounding reduces it dramatically. There is alot of info on this on the other site.

In few days my friend is bringing his GSA Schedule Fluke 199C-003 and we will be taking measurment ourselves with pics of readings with and without the ground.

I had about 10 problem free maiden flights

Wow........

Thanx for your support.

Forgot to mention that this is the Glass Fiber version.

I did not use the extra rcvr mounting platform.

I mounted the rcvr on the bottom of the frame in the rear.

I also took widomaker's advice and lowered the battery tray 1cm to gain some breathing room.

Thanx for your responces.

Thats some good placement of your stuff. I'm doing the same with my new GF kit too.

Hopefully you'll be fine. Most of the CF Kits are glitching.

Clearly an opinion based only on poor information but stated as a fact, a habit that runs rampant on forums. Unless you're in contact with every 500 owner how can you even make such a statement? Take a look at the half dozen polls at helifreak and you'll see the vast majority don't have any problems regardless of equipment used. I'm not saying that some people aren't having problems but It's certainly not "most". The problem is anyone who has an issue posts on the forums and soon paranoia takes hold and it appears worse than it is. On a personal note, fights So Far: 29 as of 01/31/2008, at 4:20 minutes per flight equals 125.7 minutes or 2.1 hours of airtime! No glitches, my setup is listed in my gallery. I grounded my ESC to the motor the other day but only because it made sense to do so on any heli, not because of any problem.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
