Yeah I am an expert at crashing, when I loose orientation I panick and dont have time to react. And yes I DO USE A SIM! RFg3.5 to be specific.

Can you strap one of these babies into like a t-rex 450?

FS8 co pilot
vifferd,
I dissagree because I have used it.
Reread the product discription.
If you are still not convinced ,call them.
They have a good support department.
I don't reccomend or criticize products I have not used.
I am always ready to listen to opposing viewpoints.

The Ap2000i is a much better option. I have used both and yes it can be used on a 450 size heli but it is a bit of a job to hide the extra wires.

Your right it is expensive and kind of pointless on a 450 size machine.

I had both on a Joker2 which will easily cost 500 dollars to repair in a crash so the AP2000i is better value for money in that case.

Co-Pilot
I have used the FS4 with great success on airplanes. I just got into Heli's and bought a T-Rex 450, DX7 and FS8, only to find out The FS8 is not compatible to 2.4GZ. The FS8 requires the FMA 8ch FM Fail Safe receiver and will only work with FM Tx and is CCPM capable. I have bought a JR 7202 to use with the FS8. You need to use it in PPM only. The FS4 will work with the DX7, but not in CCPM mode. I would expect FMA to come out with a DSM-2 version eventually. The FS8 uses the same sensor as the FS4. So if you happen to have a FS4 all you need is the FMA receiver, and a FM Tx. This is a great product at a great price.
