None. Busses don't have legs.

There are 10,990 legs in the bus. There are 0 legs on the bus (unless some of the cats escaped from the backpacks and are on top of the bus).

I am fairly certain of my numbers. Since other people have some doubt that my answer is correct, I will hire an independent firm to confirm my numbers. If they disagree with my numbers, I will again hire another independent firm to do a new study of the girls on the bus, and a third firm to study the big cats. Once the second firm has finished studying the girls, I will again hire them, to study the little cats. A fourth firm will be hired to investigate the back packs for environmental toxins. By then, enough studies will have been done to conclude that I have wasted a hell of a lot of money studying legs on a bus. Who do I work for?

Interesting, but irrelevant since the question asked how many legs are in the bus.

However, your answer still might be correct since we only know that there are some girls in A particular bus and the subsequent question asks how many legs are in THE bus. We don't know that this refers to the same bus the girls are in.

I wonder if any sharp little brat has ever climbed on top of the bus when the driver told them to get on the bus, and then argued with the driver that they didn't ask them to get in the bus?

In all fairness, are all the cats four legged?
Eight-Legged Cat It's Octopussy!

Then there is the five legged cat that had TWO legs removed making it a three legged cat, Its a Tripod!

Which is worse, ignorance or apathy? I don't know and I don't care!
