fuselage question
Hi Everyone I have a Hawk 30 and I was wondering if I could put the Mechanies from it into a Hughes 500d-50 size. Since I notice that there is not much of a diffrence in size between the 50 frame to the 30 frame. I have a Bell47-50size heli thats when I notice that there was not much of a diffrence between them. What do you guys think. Please let me know. Thank you

Do a quick measurement from the main shaft vertical centerline to the T/R shaft horizontal centerline on your Hawk. Then measure the distance that these two parts of the mechanics should exit from your fuselage. If you don't have the fuse yet let me know and I will measure one of mine. I have both the Funkey 500D and the TT 530E in the .50 size. I believe you will find that the tailboom is way too short for on your .30 mechanics to fit the .50 size fuse properly. I wouldn't think you would want to get into stretching your Hawk to make it work.Cheers - Boyd

Use the Hawk 50/Falcon boom and tail drive and it should be spot on. For scale flying the power should be sufficient.
