Tex click search at the top of the page and search for 43t pulley there is a whole topic for it from a while back. you can count on one hand the number of people using it. It does what it says but is it a good upgrade jury is still out. I believe its bluesaber who is really flying one on his cold California days.

piro = pirouette flat spin for the plank flyers.

My setup: Esky servos, logitec 2100 with 3154 tail servo, HDX450 motor (weighs 55 grams), and a Phoenix 25 speed control. The servos fit the titan perfectly. My motor was on the large side for the king and works well in the titan. I did switch from 12-1350mah batteries to 2100+mah.
Thats different...I thought you meant stock electronics as in the rate gyro and using an e-sky servo for the tail.....but keep in mind the HBK is not advertised as a 3D heli....so expecting it to perform like a T-rex or MINI TITAN,when its a 300 size 150 dollar heli, isn't really fair.....but for a backyard flyer..its awesome....you can really let it fly in areas that are a little too small for a 450...and its a GREAT beginner/training heli...its durable and stable for a newbie...but flies well enough to practice new manuvers....which is what I do....test all new moves on the HBK...its cheap to fix and if you can do it on a small heli....you can do it on anything.....you cant buy a DODGE NEON and expect it to run the quarter mile in 11 seconds

Hi guys

The 43t pulley should not be used as a crutch for an improperly set up heli IMHO. To be truthful I bought it because it looked cool I was not having any trouble with the tail prior to installing it same goes for having a 2100t on the tail I had a HDX HH gyro that was perfectly fine but I gave that away and bought the logictech when it was on sale.

Head speed, proper belt tension and mechanical set up is all that's needed.

You do not need to throw a lot of money at the king to have a great heli.

I've done so but trust me I'm a sick sick man ( must be that goat burger I had for lunch)

I'll bet if you put fu-fu in a room with plenty of water and a bunch of dry Gravy Train for a week, when you came back the Gravy Train would be gone.

You are a sick man. Don't change.

Goat and tofu burgers aside, I've had the same experience with the 43 tooth pulley.

I finally got mine and installed it, as expected I had to back down some of the settings because the tail was just too fast at that point.

IF you have a completely bone stock HBK2, the pulley would make a noticeable difference in my opinion. If you already have a decent tail setup, there really isn't any additional benefit to installing the 43 tooth pulley, stock works just fine at that point.

As Blusaber mentions, proper setup will do more to improve performance than installing upgrades and hoping for a cure for a bad setup. I'm pretty confident that I've taken the King2 as far as it can go, I don't see anything further that can be done to improve performance or flight characteristics.

That said, I'm impressed with what it can do now, and it's easily as reliable as the other helis in my fleet. Just charge the batteries, go fly it, repeat until batteries need replacing...

XCell Spectra G
Radikal G20
Some obsolete nitro helis too...
