I've got a weird issue with my 600. The landing gear rock to the right and left pretty quickly while in flight. I'm running about 2300 headspeed so I don't want to go up any higher there even though I do think that would stop the shimmy temporarily. I'm trying to get to the bottom of the problem. I'm running infinivation dampers, just installed. All metal head. It seems to go away in forward flight but in a hover it starts rocking again.

Anyone run into this?

The blade grips did seem to be a little notchy when I tightened everything down after installing the infinivations. (too tight?) I installed the infinivations because I had this problem even on the harder align dampers.

This is a weird one...

Huh? White

It has nothing to do with the landing gear, it's the whole airframe rocking...

I know that the tail can bob up and down if the headspeed is too low but I dont know what is causing this one...

I had the white landing gear on it and had a shake in the gear and a samll shake in the heli. Changed it out to the black ones and it has been fine. I also had a bad shake after going to stiffer dampners before. I changed them out with a couple of brands with no luck. Found out that I had bad bearings.

Hmm, interesting. I dont think the landing gear have anything to do with it. It's not a vibration, the whole airframe is rocking as if the dampers are bad, but theyre not.

Are you describing a vibration?

Which bearings were bad?

The landing gear was a small vibe for sure. Not rocking. But it was the radial bearing. The heli was shaking bad. Could have been thrust but I didnt check everything. I decided at that point it was time to upgrade all the bearings. Ive also seen some people take apart the grips and not put the thrust bearings in right. The inner and outer races have different inner diameter. They complain about the grips feeling like they had a few peices of sand in them when turning te grips.
