FMA direct is shipping their power supply Feb 28 so i now have to find a different one. Does anybody know of a cheap power supply thats 12v 5-8 amps? Also, where do i get an adapter for banana plugs?

Go buy a $20 12v motorcycle battery youll use it again for field charging. Did you get the 4s it comes with banana clips inserted into the battery clamps. Im not sure what you mean adapters.

yeah all you really need is the yellows and blacks and tie the signals to whatever they need. but If your gonna draw full current 8 or 10 amps put more than one wire on the bananas 2 or 3.

I would make a pc power supply but I dont think i would do too well making my own.
Im not sure what you mean adapters.
I mean that if i get a power supply that I cant plug the banana plugs directly into it, how will i plug them in? With an adapter?

If you can use a volt meter, soldering iron and a drill, you can make you own pc power supply. Just read the how-tos on the net.

My amplifier here at work uses 2, 50v 300amp supplies in parallel per amplifier cabinet up to 7 cabinets. Thats 4200Amps at 50vdc That makes the power company really happy.
