I just got a T600 (not a T500) GF and so far it has worked flawlessly. Glitches can also be caused by static electricity buildup on the belt – not sure how you fix that problem.

Ground out the tailboom to the negative lead on your esc

Not to start a debate:

Sometimes even that doesn't work.

Spray the belt with silicone.

Yes!

I have the silver frames on my 500. I had the brownout issue and have resolved it. I went to the CC 10 amp bec and cut the orange programming wire. I cut the red power lead from the ESC. I have had about 15 flights since without a problem!

L29driver,
Please tell me you did not actually "cut" the wires from the BEC and ESC?? What if you need them later. YOU can slide the pin out of the connector by lifting the little tab and pulling the pin out. Then just tape back the wire for later use. You may need to program that Bec later....

In the interest of simplicity I just said "cut". What I actually did was to pull up the tab that retains the pins...remove them, place shrink tubing over them for possible later use. Sorry...

No problem I feel a lot better. You never know, I am sure there is someone out there that would take you literaly and "cut" the wires instead of just removeing them...

One thing I will do also is place my 6200 receiver on the bottom frame mount instead of on the receiver mount. This way, I'll get less static from the tail boom.

Thanks

I know there is always the bonehead factor! I also took out the rec mount plate. I happen to be running the AR6100 rec in my heli. I ran this same one before my crash and after. I have flown each day without issue!

Here is a stupid question. How many people are running the AR6100 oposed to the 6200 or 7000. Are the 6100's less accessible to this ESD than the AR6200 and 7000????????? Just curious. If that was the solution I would throw one in right now. I may try it just for kicks......

I used the ar6100 because the flight profile is within its capabilities. If your trex 500 was more than about 400 or 500ft away from you....you couldn't see it! I had my Brownout issue with this rec. I put it back in because after a little bit of reasoning, I felt like this couldn't have anything to do with my problem. After reading several posts, people seem to be having this problem with ar7000 and ar6200 rec. also. I happened to be right. I have flown the heli about 6 times a day for the last week without any problems! As far as I am concerned my problem is over.

Fixit, flyit, crash-it, Damit!
