A few years ago there was a very artistically produced video of a heli flying over a pond amongst lush green shrubbery. He did quite a deep dip at one point and got away with it Vegetable rights and Peace

Cool looking! I never done this with one of my models but im wondering did you notice if you needed more pitch than what is normaly needed to hover over land?If it doesnt move and its meant too... use WD 40. If it moves and its not meant too...use duct tape!

What is it that causes RC'ers to risk there models when we know their not designed for water. I recall doing low hovers with my 1st SX30. Then with a new REVO 3.3 running it through shallow mud-puddles.

Its not me or my heli!
I just came across it in the galleries. I did watch the videos and the guy who landed in the pool the funniest part was taking the sky tach out of his pocket AFTER the fact - I cracked up laughing so hard!

When I tried to walk on water with my gasser in a puddle up in Montreal at a funfly, the zimmerman muffler tailpipe went under the water surface and I lost engine power and could not pull it out. Almost like the water grabbed a hold of it and I tried to collective out and it just pulled but no rise and then the rotor slowed and I was sunk! It was a foot of water and she capsized on her side after the blades stopped and the canopy filled.

I spent an hour taking apart the electronics and drying them, and then I fired the engine off again and continued flying for the day! The was at club crash, and runryder id "gyan" was there to see this event as well as some other fellow took pictures of the sunken gasser but I never got copies of them.
