East coast scale helicopters

Excellent company to deal with. Joe gets my vote, very helpful whether you spend 30.00 or 4,000.00.

Joe at East Coast is one of the best IMHO. His customer service is outstanding, and he's just a great guy. His shop is in Franklin Mass.

Hi Darren

I’m located in New Plymouth and am a keen Vario enthusiast. I would recommend you buy straight from Vario in Germany. I have tried Joe in the states but because we live in NZ he has told me I have to go with the regional dealer which is the guy in Australia. They are not that good. Their service is no good; they don’t have much in stock and are expensive. So I deal with Vario direct and they are very good. Freight is reasonable also.

What are you building?

Cheers

Craig

Hi Darren and Craig I've been dealing with our regional Vario rep in Aus for over four years now and have purchased four heli's from him. Craig is correct he places order's on your behalf and you do finally receive them in the mail.
I have tried dealing with Joe also and have been told to contact Neal in Aus, and the same happened when I contacted Germany. It took two months for my Turbine Lama to arrive although the turbine arrived after three weeks. I stand to be corrected but I believe he waits until significant orders have been placed to save cost on delivery.
I once contacted Vario in Canada to puchase the Lama the initial cost of the model was much cheaper in Canada but the cost of that shipment was $1800'00,it was cheaper through Vario Australia.
It is frustrating when you only need a few minor spare parts. Buying Rapter parts from Hong Kong only takes five to seven days from time of order. On Neals (Vario Australia) defence he is catering for a small amount of people in an area the size of the Pacific Basin.
Neal is coming to NZ in two months and I will be meeting with him in Wellington and I hope to discuss issues with him concerning Vario heli Models and parts, I'm sure the more he sells to NZ the overall cheaper things could get.
Regards Colin

Your comments sound very familiar. I have no problems dealing with Vario Germany. I purchased a Bell 412 complete from them about 3 years ago and have bought several items since then with no worries. I have been told the same with Joe in the states though I did deal with him while on a trip to America one time.

I'll be interested in hearing about what Neal has to say when he comes over.

Regards

Craig Anderson.

I have been flying Varios for the last 13 year and Joe Howard and His family have Done the best Job in my Opinion than any one else here in the us. The Best thing to happen to Vario Was Getting Rid of the west Coast Dealer from Ca. keep Up the Great work Joe, Be and Nichole!

Fireman,

Wow!!! What an out of the blue opportunity for you to bash someone! Your aggressive, uneducated manner of attack clearly shows your own private agenda.

If you are a representative for the companies you profess, I don’t think they would want you to publicly and maliciously bash someone in a public forum and then claim to represent them.

Maybe I’ll forward this thread along to those vendors and ask them if public attacks and humiliation by their representatives is part of their company policy.
