My Raptor is making clicking sound when I run it up and I can't tell where it's coming from. It's not constant, more intermittent several click every two or three seconds and the Frequency does not change with the increase in throttle. I can't tell if it's making the clicking sound when I hover because it's too loud. Just spinning the Main and tail rotor by hand does not produce the sound and seem very smooth and the belt looks good. I had bought it used and was thinking I would go a head a brake it down and check all the bearing and give it a good inspection.
Any other Idea's.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

Most likely a loose tail rotor belt slapping intermittently against the tail boom....

Tighten it up a little and your problem may probably go away.....

I am new to the Raptor but the belt feels tight, I don't see any free play in it.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

You won't see the belt play you will feel it and hear it.

I love the smell of nitro in the morning..

check the clutch's holding screws, or clutch itself.

I had a belt with partially broken teeth that caused a ticking sound also. The teeth looked in tact until you pulled your fingers across and then you can feel that some are only partially holding on. I believe the cause of this is running with a loose belt and it chaffs on itself inside the boom. Easiest way to check is to remove the belt and pull it between your fingers while also giving a visual inspection.
