I'm amazed at anything that flies
Me too. I've flown full-sized planes and helis, and RC planes and helis, and I still can't take my eyes off anything flying nearby. It's been this way as long as I can remember. I still park at a couple special spots I know near the airports in town if I'm driving by with some time to kill. The scanner is always in the truck.

RC helis are thrilling and RC planks are just 'plane' fun -- and I happily sit down between flights to enjoy watching anything anyone nearby is flying.

If that feeling of wonder ever slips away you can bury on the spot -- I'm done.

I like anything that flies, even the though of having a RC on Buzz Lightyear would be cool! When it comes to the everyday club flyer though I would surely pick watching helis fly, stick banging or just regular flying over a club flyer going in circles with his plank.

I think that an IMAC event would be nice though since we're talking about the higher end of planks and most likely the more seasoned flyer who can pull off a move just off the deck.

I once heard about 3d flying,
"Doesn't anyone fly rightside up anymore?"

25 yrs flying both, helis and planes. I would say flying a large warbird is my favorite. I got out of giant scale last year, lost my 1/3 Cap 580 due to aileron servo failure I really like flying helis and working on them it is fun and a learning experience but I would have to say watching my 85' F4U Corsair with a Saito 450 3 cylinder FS with straight pipes turning 7000rpm on a low pass is by far the best and flying formation with another pilot who was flying a
large Spitfire is an awesome experience in flying planes.

haha, nope.. only ever flew a trainer for a week and get the odd blast off others peoples planes now and again, but mostly helis only for me.

When i was doing lessons in a fixed wing a few years back I was taxing back in when we passed a helicopter on the way.. (that was my last fixed wing lesson, never got the helicopter lesson btw.. hmmm should sort that)

When It came to models I kinda went heli only..

There is a funfly on in Waterford Ireland this saturday, Im gonna bring a proper camcorder and maybe i'll be able to put up a few vids of myself flying.

I smile, cause I've no idea what's going on.
