Well, I can't seem to agree with you guys.

I weighed the T-Rex flybar and it actually ended up at 23.2g, not 12.7g, and my Raven's 4mm flybar is at 43.1g. Both flybars measured 43cm.

So using the worst case scenario for me, let's take the lightest 4mm against the heaviest 3mm. Difference in weight is 18.9g, which will give 9.45g for each side of the flybar. Since this mass is distributed evenly along the half flybar we can consider that all of its mass is located at 1/4 length, which would gives us a momentum of roughly 102gcm.

Using the average flybar weights that newbies use TO SLOW DOWN THEIR CYCLIC AND STABILIZE THE HEAD, which weigh 7g and is located at the far end of the flybar, we have 150gcm.

That means you are adding 2/3 of the stabilization effect a newbie uses to slow things down.

Do you think there is any possibility that the stock paddles will not break the 3mm flybar?

I'm sorry that youdon't enjoy my vocabulary. Look up a couple posts and I did report the results of a back to back comparison. Have you compared both on the same heli, or are you just guessing?

Comparing exactly what? I haven't flown a T-Rex with a 4mm flybar, if that is what you are implying. And if you look at my posts you will see there nothing against the 4mm flybar at all. I am just trying to understand what is best for a 50 size helicoper, asking questions to you... "one of the pros...".

But I would expect you would not laugh at my questions. It may come back to you one day if we all keep doing it.

Talk about taking things personally. I didn't laugh at your question, I said it's hilarious how people think they can tell a few grams in the air. We get so hung up on things like that, then do things like add header tanks, mixture servos, and heavy custom painted canopies. That's hilarious, it has nothing to do with you. We all do it.

My mistake. Sorry if I took things in the wrong way.

I still think there must be a considerable reduction in cyclic, and I don't understand why there isn't.

I am also preoccupied that a 3mm flybar could snap in mid flight, such as Learn to Fly's did, and I am wondering if that didn't have anything to do with the V-Paddles. I personally haven't heard of any such cases in the past, and there are a lot of Raptor 50s out there.

It's easy to find an excuse to do wrong. Hard is not to find an excuse to do right.

Im not the only lad that has broken a flybar. First time was with stock paddles. Stock E cage. Snapped right at the cut where the set screw goes.

Your not going to notice this unless you are of Szabo quality.

We are talking about a few grams SPREAD out over the whole rod. Not like weights.

ummm....
the whole point of putting 4 mill on is the extra stiffmess as well as the extra length...
If your atall concerned about the extra grams... go longer to speed up the cyclic and counter act the weight difference...

I'm going to 530 but with 680 blades

All I can add is why even have topics for discussion on here anyway. Once someone posts a question, comment, suggestion, or obscure irrelivant fact, the real "Stupid" questions come out.

And they say the only stupid qusestions are the ones NOT asked, Bull Crap.

ex. Can anyone tell me how to increase the head speed on a "SUPERFAST GOV." I want 1950 normal, 2000 FM1, and 2050 FM2.

ANSWER. Why on earth would you want to fun those head speeds, (ACUAL QUOTE FROM "EXPERT". "Do you really think that you can tell the difference in 50 RPM on the head?"

BECAUSE THATS WHAT I WANT, NOT WHAT YOU WANT ME TO HAVE. ITS MY HELI, FLY YOURS THE WAY YOU WANT, THATS WHY WE DON'T SHARE HELIS ISN'T IT.

My point is what does this help. One gallon "PROS" with 500 worthless posts. compaired to a new heliman with 1 good post.

I'll take the 1 good post please.

People want opinions here, or want a pat on the back for something new, Inverted auto, first hover without training gear, or how about a plain old "COOL NICE THOUGHT, OR GOOD IDEA"

The whole shaving ounces by sanding half of the head off of the cap head screws, and running helium in the sealed ends of the skidpipes and ALL of the other BS that goes on here is just that. BS. Go burn some 30%, get good enough to be a factory pilot, design your own featherlite heli and let everyone tell you it's a piece of crap that is too heavy and doesnt fly worth a crap.

So to EURY, LEARN TO FLY, and SKATEFREAK, or whoever came up with a good idea that wasnt about taking off another .0000000213g of weight, Cool, good job, I hope it makes that thing scream and sing. Buy more fuel and burn the he1l out of it. You'll be better off than most of the other "EXPERTS" here by doing that.

OH yea. I'm ready for all of you "EXPERTS" to start in on this post. 30% is what I USE. If you think 25, 15, 10, 5, 43, 56, 31, 11, 14, 66, or 1% is better, I DONT CARE. USE IT YOURSELF.

START FIRE NOW, FLAME AWAY, I HAVE GIVEN THE MATCHES, YOU JUST ADD THE FUEL. WE'LL ROAST ALL OF THE OTHER NEW PILOTS THAT GET DISCURAGED FROM ASKING HERE BECAUSE THEY DONT WANT TO FEEL BELITTLED BY THE THATS STUPID, OR WHY, OR THE FLAT OUT IT WILL NEVER WORK. I WONDER WHO HEARD THAT BEFORE?

IM ALL YOURS. INFERNO TIME

But its said, I know that others out there want to say the same thing but havent had the time or nearve.

I got pinked, so be it. I said exactly what I wanted to, in the way I wanted. Didn't shoot anyone, knife anyone in the back, just stated a fact. I thought that this fourm was for helping people out, not calling their ideas worthless or punching them in the gut for it.

If I get banned, Its been nice knowing and talking to the ones that have helped, if not, all i request is an honest answer to any question I might have.

Thanks for the support to those who feel the same way, to those that dont.

Here's the problem, no one disagrees with you, but you are coming out and trying to pick a fight. You are intentionally trolling for a fight, when you could have simply made the point without doing that. Of course I'm not the one who controls the pinks, but if I were guessing, that's why it happened. Like I said, you are right, but the form is what's wrong, and you know it, hell, you even said at the end to go ahead and start flaming you, you knew you were trolling.

Eury, aren't you supposed to be somewhere?? Like maybe checkin on the new pilot and his Mom??.. How are they doing today?

In addition to a beefier flybar, now you have opened up a big door to paddle choices. Well done, I might go this route myself..

They're great man, but they are CONSTANTLY asleep, and if I don't do something, I end up just staring at him making sure he's breathing. It drives me crazy. Hence, I'm on the internet using the hospital's free wifi.

Definitely do the conversion, I really liked it on my Evo, and when I run out of 3mm flybars, I'm going to follow this post to do it to my 600N, and my new Evo that's got the 3mm on it. It's a great idea, I bet we see all 50s have 4mm at some point.

Ahhh, so you are there. I thought maybe you went flying to relieve a little post birth stress. Great to hear they are doing well. Congrats again.

I think I have a rappie 60 flybar here somewhere. It would be an easier decision if I didnt have so many sets of 3mm paddles..

What paddles are you guys using with the 4mm flybar?

I tried a bunch on my Evo, off the top of my head, MA whites, SAB carbons, TT Reds, Freya, and I drilled out my stock Evos. With the stock Evos, it flew exactly the same, and the rest of them changed the characteristics in different ways. I liked the TT reds, it was lightning fast and very stable. Nice flying paddles, and with the 4mm flybar there's a bunch of options for length, I was lucky to have owned a bunch of 90s, and for some reason I kept the spares when I sold them, so I could experiment. Longer flybar made it faster, and more stable, I'm sure there's a point where it hurts the flight characteristics, I just never got to that point.

I liked the 80mm V paddles, but I had to get 4mm inserts and collars to fit the new 4mm fly bar.

I gave Eury props in my first thread just so you know.It was when the E version was hot. But someone killed the thread saying Szabo said it did not make a difference and slowed the heli down...blah blah blah!! 99.9% of most on here cant and never will fly like him. I cant and wont claim too.

I bent lots of flybars since I fly a lots and need to take them out of my car and into my small house. But since the 4mm its hard to bend them. On my EVO I went with a longer bar than stock and it woke the sucker up big time. Its all in TRYING out different setups, not theorizing about it.

Yes you did, my friend. Not a big deal, I just came up with something that I liked on the Evo, and wanted to share it with everyone else.
