Idles fine.....It is too little in as many dollars

I have this setting on OS 60B carb : main 1,75 and middle 0,25.
Heli JR Superio 60, fuel CP 30%, exhaust HASHIMOTO ( from Freya).

But it must not be always the same, there is too much variable parameters.... blades, gear ratio, fuel, exhaust system etc.

Do you mean the carb on an OS60?
Or an OS60 series carb (60B, 60L, 60M, etc)?

You should be able to identify the carb.

Sorry.
Assuming you have an OS 60SX-H, it will also run an OS 60B carburetor.
The question was because the OS50 Hyper runs an OS60L carb, the CSPEC runs an OS60K carb and the 90SZ runs a OS60M (several variants).

My question was "Is it a 60 size engine, or do you mean a 60 "series" carburetor on some other size engine"?

Sounds like a 60SX-H with a 60B.

See if this helps you out for needle settings friend.
I have had several of these motors and still have a couple in Robbe Futura machines with Hatori mufflers. Using 30% nitro fuel and OS#8 plugs the idle was left at factory default of 1 1/2 out from fully closed.

The midrange needle which is the uppermost one when motor is sitting on backplate is NON SENSITIVE and I run anywhere from 2 - 4 turns out from closed.

The MAIN NEEDLE is a different story on this carb FAIRLY SENSITIVE and 3-4 clicks makes a good difference on the setting. You will end up around 1 3/8ths out so you could start at 1 3/4 out and go a couple of clicks at a time till you hit the spot. If you go leaner than 1 1/4 she will let you know and probably hang a bit going to idle.

Settings may change a little depending on nitro content,
plug heatrange, and elevation from sea level. I live about 350 FT. above so might as well say I live at sea level.

Hi Gftazz

Thanks,

I was around the 1 1/4 mark with 10% nitro and Sea level, I was just wondering if it was too close or not but seems fine.

I see what you mean with the midrange!
