whitehouse do you have a sim????
I was in the same boat as you. So i bit the bullet and invested in a sim. Since getting a "GOOD" sim i am glad to say that my flying has greatly improved and have not had a crash yet.( yes i know kiss of death words. - i KNOW my crash clock is ticking. The manuvers that used to terrify me now are so much easier. and i don't panic so quickly and kill the juice, therefore slamming the ground.
i read a post from a pro recently that went kinda like this.
U can not think while you fly, ur fingers have to be automatic.
If you have to think about a manuver, then you are NOT ready to do it. Go back to the sim and practice it until it's automatic... it should feel like second nature. I am doing this now and it helps a lot.
besides, the wife was getting PO'd with the helihobby boxes showing up everyone week. They are NOT the cheapest but i found them to have the biggest selection, one stop shop.
I bought phoenix-sim. i not going to start down the best sim topic. that's the one i bought and love it.
