I can't seem to find it now but i always thought the rule was you must include an asking price in all classifieds.

Posting an asking price should be a matter of prefrance it seems to me. If you dont like it move on. Posting that an item is SOLD is a matter of consideration of others, its easy and consumes almost no time, so it should be done. What happend to live and let live guys? If you dont like how a person deals then dont deal with them. Who decides when an offer crosses the line into lowballdome? Alot of us may be in hobby above our pay grade and HAVE to look for the best deal possible. Havent any of you been to a flea Market? Gee guys lighten up!

If you don't want to post a price that's fine, but don't be pissed when someone comes in with a low offer. To me "make me an offer" means "I have no idea what it's worth and just want to get rid of it." If that's how it is I offer low in hopes of getting a good deal. I personnally think that the classifieds section works quite well the way it is. I don't think we need Mark getting in there and making a bunch of rules and limitations on how/what can be sold and how prices are determined.

What I hate is when people automatically treat you like you're lying, even when you're telling them the truth.

For example, I have a bird in the Trade section that - honest to God - has never been crashed. I listed every cosmetic flaw (and even fixed a couple), and still I have people who are trying to low-ball me on a purchase price. I understand that used is used, and I have no intention of trying to get full new market value, but still, I'm not going to cut my own nose off to spite my face, either. I had one guy treat me privately like I was trying to screw him blind.

As a general rule, I figure 60% of new is fair for an item in average condition (if it has good pictures that I can examine). For an above-average clean example, I might go as high as 65-70%. For a dirty one, I'd only go 40% if I didn't pass on it altogether.

The problem is, wading through all the BS and hype to see who really takes care of their equipment, and who just thinks they do. There's no reason why a used helicopter should automatically be given away, but you have to know what you're shopping for.

I am totally with helibird! Its all good. Just mark it sold, when its sells, that is if you would like to be considered, considerate. If you dont care about that well then whatever, the rest is the way it is and that aint bad.

Thats easy,,Just use paypal with a credit card...If you get ripped off you call your credit card company..Don't even worry what the POS people at paypal say..In the end your credit card company will win everytime...If they don't take paypal unless it is someone I have dealt with I just pass on the deal....

I sell on RR only just to help fellow flyers to get a good part for a good price but I think saying 1/2 of new is great for the buyer but not for seller if something is new then offers should be respected I like low-ballers but most of the low-ballers are buying to resale at profit I don't sell for profit just to pass a deal on something I'm not using anymore to help keep people in the hobby I think you can ask anyone here and they will agree . Ive had a lot of people buy from me and then I would see them post to sell on eBay or RR new never crashed or used one time as for posting a price I think if you post a price even if it is 1/2 price you still get a lower offer so it really doesnt matter . If you don't offer you don't know what deal your missing

I see too many things for sale for too high a price here. Even if it's NIP, reselling typically should command a very good discount. It's safer to buy new from a real vendor and get a receipt.

But then free market here is all that counts. Been to local auctions and many times I see used stuff sell as much as and sometimes more than new.
