But seriously Sarge, I didn't even consider inverted at all until I was very, very comfortable in every orientaion upright. If you try to cheat on highway the "Heli Gods" will throw lightning down upon your heli and you will crash To me its just another step in the LONG but exciting journey in attempting to master the lil machine. It's like the machine controls you or do you control the machine??
Inverted is fascinating in itself because it goes against what we have seen helicopters do all our lives, just the mechanics of it is cool. People that don't fly RC see it for the first time and say---How is that possible??
Sim practice will help train your brain for unknown territory and it helps alot but in the end you still have too decide to do it in "real life" where there are consequenses "Crash--Boom, Bang, MO Money, Mo money

Oh Yeah Sargie, Another thing that REALLY got me was-- from the very beginning the left(throttle)stick was UP and the Heli goes up, Inverted, now DOWN stick is Heli up, yet another brain test. If you forget that for one second your heli will SMACK the ground SO freakin HARD Gravity is one thing, but heli "head" first, full throttle, into the hard ground.
