Recieved my Xtreme 50 today
Like Patriot, I too received my Xtreme 50 (WooHoo !!! ). I am in the process of building it now. So far I have the frame built, the clutch bell, the main gears, and tail gear installed. It is going together without any hitches. The machining on this heli is excellent. I am really enjoying this build so far. I am going to skip the fan/clutch assembly steps for now (until I go to Buzzsaw's place to pick up his dial indicator). I should have her all put together and ready for set up by tomorrow afternoon.

Tony,

You know me so well...LOL

**UPDATE**

Before I turned in for the night (errr morning - 3 am ), I was able to get the head completely built and the tail box done and mounted to the boom. The boom is also installed and tightened correctly.

I am getting ready to head out to get the dial indicator so that I can put the fan/clutch on and install the engine. Once that it is done, all that is left is the electronics, tail braces, tail rods, etc.

This heli build very quick with no issues. Here are a few building tips:

When you build, do not be afraid to use loctite.

Although the tail box comes assembled, there is no loctite on it at all.

I also opted to use Rocket City ball links instead of the factory ones. The Rocket City links can be adjusted in 1/2 turn increments, unlike the full turn adjustments for the factory links. This just allows you to fine tune your links a bit more.

I also used a ball link sizer to ream out the links just a little to ensure a nice smooth set up.

Change out the factory clunk line before you install the fuel tank. Like most factory clunk line, it will not last long.

That's all I can think of for now. As I stated, this heli builds with no major issues. If I can think of some more tips, I will surely pass them on.

I will post some pics later on today.
