90s are sweet, but they can't match the lighter quicker 50s in terms of changing directions and just overall nimbleness which of course is due to the weight. I'm really liking a good 50 size with CCPM right now, its fun to have a nimble machine out there and especially fun if you don't have to take a loan to get parts.

I love my 600 but i have to agree that many of the parts are not up to par with the 'high end' helis. 600 flys decent, but is much better when paired with ugprades, metal head, metal mixer arms that dont bend under load, kasama tail which doesnt have slop in it.

Compared to a bird like the N9 - when you feel/work on them side by side, you can see the difference in quality. Even the gears which are used for the tail drive are not very strong compared to others (MA is great in this area).

but - like others said.. parts are not too expensive. For me it was less about that and more about the fact that i can go to multiple local stores and get parts readily.

cheers

One thing is for certain, if the past is any predictor, and it is, the 700 will sell like hot cakes on a Sunday morning. There will be a waiting list and it will go out of stock everywhere, quickly. There will be build videos (you know where), everyone will be looking for parts and upgrades.

All this from a company that thought they we were making good money selling vacuum cleaners just a few years ago!

and unfortunately we the customer will be doing that companies final testing. Strange how Align sells TONS of helis that ALL have issues (swashplates separating, autohubs lockin up, warped fans, should I go on?) when they're released, yet if another company did the same, )they would be crucified! Granted Align heli's do fly great...

FWIW, I do own a 600N

Well if there were only two companies left manufacturing toy helicopters, one was Align and one was Avant. Which one would you want to open up on Christmas day??????

Exactly, at least with Align, you have something to play with!

Align isn't perfect, but it's not realistic to say they ALL have issues. Avant DOES have issues, or you'd be selling them, and would have been selling them for the last 15+ months. As a customer I don't mind doing the final testing if the manufacturer makes an effort to improve on the issues found. I guess there are others that are happier to pay a deposit only to be edited, removed, ignored, and lied to for years on the hopes that the manufactured kit is the same as the custom preproduction kits the pros fly. I love my N9's even though the kits weren't perfect, they fly beautifuly. (my favorite) No issues for me with the 600 pro yet, and it built quick and easy. No issues with the 450 V2 yet. It'd be shocking if the 700 was perfect out of the gate. It'll be awesome if it flies well, is light, parts are reasonable and well made.

The only reason I bought my 600N is because I didn't want to wait for the new vibe 50. But looking at some of the quality in the rotor head parts and the thing frames, I kinda wish I had. Parts for it are local and cheap while for JR helis they are not, so maybe it might be ok. But if I was to drop the cash for a 90 Im going to pay a little bit more and get something thats better quality.

will wash your heli for a quarter

Everything is a trade off in life and in the R/C Helicopter world.

Many people complain about the Align quality and so do I however, If I buy for example a Vibe 50 with great quality and it fly's like a heavy brick in the air, I will also complain about that.

I think it all depends on what each persons goals are. I love the way the T600N fly's and I am not willing to sacrafice it for quality. Now in a 90 ship, I went with the Stratus for the quality but my T600N will be my ultra quick high performance fly like a bat out of hell machine. Until somebody makes a 50 that out performs a T600N, it will always be my 50 ship!
