The head bolt on top should also be called the jesus bolt because when it breaks, all hell breaks loose.
It was on the 5th flight of the day after pushng the R50 around. While inverted the engine speed sputtered, and I went right-side up. I pulled back on the throttle to back her in for a quick landing when the entire head seperated. Quite a sight to see the blades spinning without the heli attached. The head, along with the main blades simply went up, and to the right of the main body. I wish I had a video of this.
The main blades (SAB 600 FRB) were intact upon landing, small nick on underside (Trash)
The R50 does not fly too well without main blades attached - FYI.
Major damage to heli; landing skids, servo tray, main frame, boom, drive belt seperated, all this and I have not brought myself to do a close inspection yet!
My 9353 stripped (Any ideas on repairing this ?).
I am planning a rebuild, maybe get a V2.
Any upgraded jesus bolt to remedy the situation - part number etc please?
Any such problems experienced with with the R50V2.
