Nice to know I can kick back in the hot tub while programming some of my new toys.

I'm guessing you pissed off the wife with a new purchase and she threw all of your stuff in the drink. You should've bought the roses to apologize, maybe even a pair of shoes for her. It would save you money in the long run.

Hey Fastlif,

I am just kind of curious how all your stuff just managed to be in the bath anyway. and secondly how it managed to get water in it.

Great news that it still all works ok.
With the comments given in these treads I would in future try and dry things out if I end up having any problems.

Thanks

Water isn't really that much of a problem for electronic gear provided the boards are dry before using. However it's always a good idea to wash in something like IPA to remove any residues.

I dropped a cell phone in a lake while fishing once. After letting it dry out for days, it worked just fine...........for a few months. After that, stuff started shorting out. I would not trust that without sending it in for a thorough checkout......but thats just me. It sounds like quite a few people feel it is safe though, and im no electronics whiz by any means.

A bad day of flying is better than a good day of work

One thing seems weird to me. If everyone says it will be fine as long as you don't turn it on while it's still wet, how come the guys putting in their heli's underwater while powered are still fine?
