central nj flyers?
I am trying to hookup with someone that can direct me and help me setup my quadcopter and maybe even my skysurfer. i was going to pickup a hitec aurora 9 because it looks a little easier to use compared to my futaba 9c i have which i cant figure the darn thing out. plus the trainer port in the back seems messed up. i want to be able to use my flight sim with my radio.
i am paralyzed and its hard for me to travel far with some issues i have. so, i was wondering if theres anyone with experience in central nj that can meet up with me to show me the ropes and give me some guidance. right now i fly a 4ch micro heli which i can manage ok. i bought a quadcopter which is a gaui 330xs and it came with the fy91q on it for super cheap so i jumped on it. i figure the gps module would come in handy. i really think the dji innovations wookong-m waypoints or the ys-x6 controller would be great for me. i can control the remote for my heli pretty good considering my hands are functional but not my fingers.
please pm me or email me. i would really appreciate it.

I was at the old field today. The County made some kind of observatory out of it. You have to walk to the old field and can't fly there.
In front where the barns/silos are the county has cut the field and I think a little outlaw flying is in order. Anybody interested?

That's Great EOBIE! My parents live in Southampton. I'll have to come and check you guys out sometime.

Sad to say but we don't have a club any longer, just some guys that are still friends. No place to fly either. I just got everything ready to fly after a few year hiatus, and am looking forward to some decent weather to get out and fly. Tom

Hey guys! Well we haven't had any meetings yet. We've been up and running for four or so months now and have 18 members. We are fortunate to have a lease with a gentleman that is big time into navigation. We actually reside on his private airstrip.

If you guys want to check it out, tomorrow is the perfect day because we are having a fun fly!

See here for info... https://rc.runryder.com/t752896p1/

Website is still down but we got work it should be back up today.

Okay I have a totally change in plans. I'm looking at the 3dr robotics quadcopter once they come out with a consumer version which should be December or January and I was going to pick one up. I've been reading about the ardru board and is very interesting in what it can do. Does anyone in central New Jersey have experience with them. i think that quadcopter will be my best shot at flying one. I've seen it in the videos flying without any joystick input which is probably best for me. I can use a computer or tablet easier than the joysticks. Too bad they don't have a consumer version of the one you fly with your mind. [url=

] that would be awesome for people like me.

It sounds like the club sort of fell apart??? I understand everyone's got so much going on in their lives that there's no time to play. PM if someone would be in a position from central New Jersey to give me a hand in month or two with a 3dr robotics quad copter ardru GPS or give me advice. I know Kevin has graciously offered his which I still need to get in contact with him. I've just been having a lot of ups and downs. But the 3dr release is really getting me excited again.

Oh if anyone is looking for a quad copter for sale I have a gaui 330xs at least I think it's the xs model. I bought it online a while back and I am looking to sell it to make some money for the new one. It has a camera mount underneath a funky landing gear with lights all over it. It has the FY91Q GPS controller.I've never flown it but when I saw it on eBay in the price that it was that I couldn't pass it up. I know the gaui goes for like $500 + with a regular controller I believe and escs.
the FY91Q goes for $395. It's got a battery for the lights I believe and a battery for the quadcopter. the quadcopter is a bit messy with the wiring and extra features the guy I bought it from put on it but whoever buys it can do whatever they want with it.

Like I said I've never flown but it was sold to me that it was a flying unit so it should be fine. I will try to upload pictures after I take them.

sorry for the long post I just see that there is activity on it so I'll post while there's activity.

Thanks all

Quadcopter
Superfly, why a quad? And why do you want to fly with a laptop or keyboard? Sticks need very little movement to fly. Tom

Superfly,
Understood. . I would help you out, though I don't think I could help much. I've only seen the quads in video and the only GPS I know anything I know about is in my car.
I've been flying pod and boom flybar heli's for a long time and on an fm transmitter. If you need a hand let me know when and ill see what I can do.

thanks tommy i appreciate it. i'm not sure when i'll get the quadcopter. i am a little nervous of it flying away on me if i dont have someones help . plus i haven't been doing the greatest and have been stuck in bed. i may wait until spring when the weather is better. plus that gives me more time to read the manual.
