Free Flybar Lock for the Blade 400
Did you know that Horizon included a free flybar lock with your Blade 400? Yep, take the smallest allen wrench included with the heli and do this with it...

There you go. Works perfectly. BTW, the two smallest allen wrenches look similar, but really are two different sizes. You want to use the one that is the smallest of the two.

Enjoy,
John

A flybar lock holds the flybar perpendicular to the main shaft. When making pitch measurements on the main blades, the flybar must be perpendicular to the main shaft in order for the pitch measurements to be correct.

For some, simply sighting and holding the flybar perpendicular is good enough. Others prefer a more repeatable and stable method such as a flybar lock.

You will often hear/read this referred to as leveling the flybar, but it isn't really level with respect to the ground that we need. It needs to be perpendicular to the mainshaft. Same for when you hear/read about a "level swashplate."
