I like the Quicks because the three that I have owned have been solid low maintenance birds. Once I got them assembled and "bedded in" so to speak, they just stay together.
I've stated many times that I am not a stick banging 3d guy, but I can do rolls, loops, 540 stalls, some inverted and so on. The heli is much more capable than I am to do other things. I'm sure that has something to do with the service life I get out of them, but honestly, what bird can you throw all over the place without good PM?
My gasser has been pretty much trouble free for over 59 hours of flying time now. I think that is pretty darn good. I really thought that I would have to do a lot more maintenance on it that I did my nitro 46 bird because of the increased engine vibration of a gasser, but so far, pretty much ordinary.
If I crash, I can usually have parts in 3 days, and nothing is never out of stock. I was ordering Hirobo upgrades from them 10 years ago and have a good business relationship with QWW, but I am not compensated in ANY fashion.
I really would like to try out the Bat 50, but honestly I don't have the funds for more than 2 birds, and the Bat is for someone that is going to throw it around, so the birds talents would be wasted on me......but I would still like to see if I could do "more" with it. I'll probably just keep flying the gasser....it's a hard bug to shake
I have flown other brands of helis over the last 20 years or so, and I've liked them all. I'm a big Hirobo fan, and still am. I guess I just like supporting the "local" guy...so to speak.
