Thanks guys

iflybyu77: the extra 2 pieces of HDPE are for attaching the outer ball to.

KC: Thanks its very rigid. I designed the mount to handle anything from my a640 up to my nikon d200, but more importantly for HD video work. Because i am doing HD video work there are 3 points of vibration isolation. first at the frame of the heli were the booms attach, next the vibration domes were the mount attaches to the booms, and finally small vibration pads were the pan servo attaches to the mount.

jascamera: I cut all the parts by hand with a skill saw and dremel. Since i did all the design work in 3d i will CNC cut the next batch after a few little tweaks.

And yep since this is a prototype i went cheap and used aluminum and G10 instead of CF. The next mount will be cut from CF and the booms will be CF as well. Its just much cheaper to make mistakes in G10 then CF

Nice mount D!

Now you just need to scratch out the 'Align' on the mount.

lol, sorry flyinhigh7, but does your AP helicam get camera envy??

Now I know, everybody says size doesn't matter, but it sure looks funny just sitting there like that.

On the plus side, it makes your mount look huge

lol, that little sony takes some good pics and in this case the weight matters! Haha,It would look really funny under the condor! I carry a nikon d2x under the condor and its a big difference from the little guy. I think it does get envious
