My flying buddy and I have recently made the decision to fly even when its extremely windy out, 20 to 30 mph winds. At first it was pretty scarey like anything else you do for the first time with a heli. It wouldn't recommend it for a very new pilot but we found it makes you a much better pilot overall, keeps you on your toes and you have to be ready at an instant to compensate for updrafts, downdrafts, sidewinds, etc. Flying in idle up is recommended for updrafts(neg. pitch.) Does anyone else fly in high wind conditions?
