red_z06 Sorry to read of your injury. I'm curious if AMA insurance helped with your medical bills?
Still waiting.

The lead weight flew 227feet into the spectator area. JC had no idea someone got hurt. I was the one that got hurt. But, I could not even connect the two events together at that instant as it took several seconds after the crash something flew into my face.

At that distance, he could not even hear the commotion going on in the spectator area. So, please don't blame the pilot for not rushing to the scene
Understandable, to a point. If nobody yelled or they werent yelling it over the speakers than that would make sense. However they were...You cant tell me he didnt know, or couldnt see what was going on when people are yelling they needed help, and send a medic, and the announcer saying over the speakers somebody got hit with something get the medics over here, also moving the crowd back etc etc...

Not to mention alot of people walking over to you so he knew where it was and what had happened, then sadly went and picked up whats left of his heli before trying to help you..

That wasnt just alittle commotion, that was pretty big. And if he can hear his name on the speakers to know its his time to go fly, then he could hear what was going on. If you really believe what I quoted, then sadly his game of "playing dumb" worked very well I've lost ALL respect for that pilot, And I hope others did as well.

But all blame aside, Im very sorry to hear about the accident. I hope the damage isnt permanant and they can do something for it. I hope also you get a nice check from the AMA to handle bills and possibly get yourself something nice after its all over.

The doc said "No chance of recovery" and also to look forward to cataract. However, this may take year or years.

What I'm most shocked is the state of medical advancement in eyes in this day and age. It is only slightly better than cavemen days. As I understand it, there is a contracting muscle in the iris that is torn. This is preventing the iris from closing.

Sorry to hear that Lets just hope for a miricle, they do happen!

I would like to think they could do something for that with all the things they can do these days. Have you gotten second opinions? Somebody else might have something else to say about it.

Uhm Jc isnt a EMT, and with all the crowd around what was he going to do?? Be in the way like most of the other people?? I think the accident has done fair enough damage to the parties involved than somebody else trying to fuel the flame of blame etc etc.. I know both parties involved. And I know Jc feels horrible about what happened, and wishes it wouldn't have happened. Benny I wish you well, and hope to see you and your family at a funfly soon!

And I have a feeling if you didnt know them you would be singing a different song.

I will defend my comments. Im simply saying what people are thinking. Being there shows caring, Whether you can stitch up the wound or not. If Im flying my heli at the field and I crash, and the crash sends a chunk of lead into somebodys face Im not going to run after the heli and see if its ok, Im going to run to the person and do whatever I can for them, Even if the most I can do Is talk to them until EMS gets there. I would do the same if Im at IRCHA, XFC's, Or any other funfly. I wouldnt just deal with it after he/she got released from the hospital, I would be there along the way.

Believe it or not you can be there without being in the way.

I know both Benny and JC only through the forums, And they both seem like very strait up nice and helpful people..However sometimes good people do stupid things, and watching that video I truly lost all respect for JC, And I can only hope he learns from this mistake (God willing it wont happen again)..As for Benny, I wish him the best and I hope that this will all work out in the end for him. I hope to meet him someday at a future funfly.
