I would be game for a fun-fly at CARDS. They know who we are, they come up to the TRAMPS airshow every year for the weekend. It would be nice if you could arrange it for a weekend so we could do something overnight with night flying. That would make it a little nicer instead of driving down and back the same day.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter

Well if you guys give me a rough idea of how many would probably come then I will know what direction to head with the club. If it is going to be a weekend deal then I may have to get the event sanctioned with AMA. I should be talking to the president tommorow. Cross your fingers because there sure isnt very many heli guys in CARDS.

CARDS
I'd be up to going to a fun fly at CARDS, it is in my home town, just as long as it isn't during the first 2 weks of June, Chief

I'm not a pilot, I'm a crash facilitator!

600N mixing arms
Does anyone have a spare set of plastic mixing arms for the 600N laying around that you are willing to part with? I know most of you guys went metal on this part. I need some to get my 600 in the air again.

ok thanks Raptorcheif and wings, I have to deal with a warbirds event in June and a Giant Scale event in July. I kinda wanted to do this before IRCHA because after that, well, nothing else will matter. LOL I will keep you guys informed.

Saturday in the workshop
15 degrees and snowing, so it is corn chowder and beer time. Big Eric Sudhoff with his Polish Pride shirt shows up and we have some chow and then head to the basement to get his new used TREX 450 CDE set up and flying. It isn't a V2 SE but still lots of fun and he got a good deal. We finally got the little bird set up with an Align HH gyro and ESC, an old JR FM receiver. Put the the battery on her, got out the dremel and trimmed all the flash off the new yellow canopy.
She is a flying and soon will be ready for some indoor flying.
Eric and I had a nice day and he is one happy heli addict.

Thanks t-bone, let me know! I need the upper mixing arms(not the lower washouts) by the flybar, just to clarify if needed. I agree that some flying is better than none, I wish I could have made it out. Next Sunday will be a blast though.

The 600 is keeping the flybar for now, I am just going to get her flying soon.

The N9 will, however, be sporting a new look this spring

Hey Scooter,
How come every time I see you do an inverted nose-in hover at the field, it's just a fraction of a second before she hits the dirt?

Things that make you go hummmmmmmmmmm.

LOL

Hey Pimp Dady I am not sure how it works out that way it just seems it dose when you are around LOL. Went to go fly the 600 today. The 600 was making a loud clanging. Well after pulling the motor out and tearing it all the way down it looked good. Nick said there was a problem with the welds on the Align pips. After all that work thats what she was.

Thanks Nick
See you boys soon

The new align pipes have the baffle issue fixed, did yours come with a yellow deflector or a black one? The pipe that comes with the yellow deflector is the one that has the issue i think.
