Yup that confirms it, you're losing it. Hehee. I had a dream last night however, in the dream my cat my told me something big's happening around the end of Feb and I should stop spending money? I don't have anything for my future Vibe .50 yet but hey uhmmm I'm sure I had a credit card around here somewhere.

Honestly birdies whistle around these parts also and the estimated time of arrival has become much more concrete (And yes not too far away). But I know better than to set my mind on birdies. I will however stop spending on new models or not so needed things now though, got a good feeling about the end of March.

Hope its not going to be like the trex release. not enought to go around in the first betch.

I need some time to pay off the credit card from rc bits and bobs anyway, so March sounds good to me.

Ok. That was nice. However, the first two pics seemed more natural. You'll have to do better when the kit arrives... U have a preorder on it right?

Na, I've run out of humorous ideas now. I was going to buy a 'Gimp mask' to wear for the first flight, but there 80 odd quid
At least we can have a laugh about it around the camp fire at the fly-in's this year
U have a preorder on it right?

I think everybody should take a pic of themselfs with their pants on their head while holding the vibe kit... who knows? we could start a new trend here... "Vibe 50, fully 3D capable and so sexy, you will want to wear your panths on your head" lol

I think Andy wouldn't be too thrilled about it though

Back to seriousness (is that how its spelled?). Did you guys noticed that eventhough the Vibe series is considered a "JR USA type" of machine (its excluded by many JR vendors across europe) its the Uk that is keeping this thread alive?
Most of the Posters on this thread are from europe/uk, latest info comes from JR UK Retailer (Macgregor - Mac_Man) and a JR Uk Dealer (Realraptors - Andy)... I thought the V3D was aimed more at the US market but its us that are keeping the JR forum more active that it ever was (as far as I can remember)?

Really wierd guys... really wierd.

I want to thank Andy and Mac_Man to keep us from this side of the pond updated of what is going on. Good job guys

Yeah. Its my fault. I seem to stirr the pot on every forum I visit

I wonder if the 600N forum will go quiet after I move? Hum... lol... I don't think so...

Now back to topic...

Wasn't it steve (can't see the post right now) who said that JR sent a letter 12 months ago to sponsored pilots asking about input for a new 50 sized 3D machine?

I would like to know why the 8.7 ratio was chosen or suggested by these pilots. I don't know if thats the traditional ratio with JR 50 machines but I would like to know the reason behind it. Looking coldly at the numbers its just a tradeoff for more torque vs less headspeed. What are the real benefiths/drawbacks?

I'm also asking this because I have a evo 50 with a 8.7 ratio and well... it flies well but isn't exactly on steroids like the 600N and starts whistleing at over 2K rpm. I wonder how much of that "confortable" flight characteristics are due to the hirobos head design/delta ratio and how much is due to the gear ratio.

It's all just a good laugh.

RR is full of people starting arguments and asking when, when, when?? I'd much rather be falling off my chair laughing, than looking up the latest ding dong that knowbody wins, that just makes people very unhappy and unpopular.

I'm sorry but I disagree.

Two clear examples:

Aurora
Vibe 50

Why are we all jumping like hound dogs on Avant and not on JR? Simple, if you look at both cases you will see that we do get some input over here with new info, dealers and retailers jump in and give updates, test pilots bring and share their knowledge. We all know what it takes to bring a machine out and if you compare the first versions of the vibe and now this final production version you clearly see diferences which make sense and were introduced to come up with a lighter and improved heli. This takes time.

Now look at the Aurora. No inputs, "2 weeks" promises for over 2 years now, Same design and structure as the first pic we ever saw, lies and decievments. Of course people get fed up. I never said the aurora did suck or looked ugly. Its the company behind it that screwed everything up.

The vibe may end being a fat turd (Rbush would appreciate it, I'm sure) but for now, every expectation has been met. We do get updates, there doesn't seem to be any cover up as we have seen test pilots posting pics and showing diferences between versions. All info has come public in an apparently naturally way which keeps the potencial customer interested and happy.

My two cents
Tony

PS - I'm still expecting to get my vibe in March and if not, you better have a earthquake or something to justify the delay
