@3DManA1: Bwahahaaaaa! What happened there, did something twang inside your head? Your post speaks volumes of your state of mind and personality. I hate to see what happens when that same mind is in control of an rc heli. I expect it is not "A1 3d" that is witnessed.

May good luck and peace find your mind sir.

There seems to be no end of Trex pilots who have everything bad to say about... well, any machine that isn't a Trex.

I don't really know what it is; you don't see Hirobo, Century, Avant, MA, or JR pilots trolling the boards of 'other' manufacturers. It's almost like the existence of a heli that isn't from Align is sacrilege, the success of any other maker is heresy, and the thought that somebody would buy anything else is madness.

Ah, trolls... trying to spice up the internet with the belief people want their unique, pungent crock of waste.

It's always best not to feed them; feeding trolls keeps them alive, with the added problem of another fresh bucket of waste, a few hours after they've eaten.

That's true about Align guys. It's like an insecurity complex.

I'm at IRCHA have been talking to Matt Botos about my N9 and Synergy will not be extinct. I don't understand why this rumor got started. I love my N9 and Matt is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet always willing to help. Thank you Matt for your help at IRCHA with my N9.

Well, trolling has a long history on the internet; especially whenever the subject is something people get passionate about.

No surprise, many R/C pilots are passionate about their hobby, which makes them an easy target for trolling.

Another aspect is the... intense... competition among hobby manufacturers. Just listening to sponsored pilots talk, as well as hobby shop owners, etc... there's a lot of posturing, false controversy, and outright falsehoods spun around in the hobby.

I know a few people who were sponsored at one point or another who have become bitter about the hobby because of the falsehoods spread by a competitor that have hurt their reputation or integrity.

One big problem is a "sock puppet" - a guy who is pretending to be somebody else; usually a rep for company "A" who is claiming to have problems with company B's products -- fabricating a story about quality issues, the company's future, fatal design flaws, etc. -- Anything to generate fear, uncertainty, and doubt about company B's products; that way people would choose to buy from company "A".

A manufacturer can get away with all sorts of lies in an internet forum that they can't get away with anywhere else; and often turn a blind eye to sponsored "team" pilots who take things too far.

RunRyder tries hard to keep itself clean of sock puppets; but they are notoriously hard to police.

And, of course, there's always the fanboys, for whom brand choice is a matter of personal honor - and it's not enough to buy the brand yourself; everybody else has to buy from the maker as well.

Synergy isn't going anywhere.
If you must stir up crap, have at it man.. No company is "Perfect"
and there are lots of good models out there..

I'm into E conversions.. After running into gearing limitations
on a E Stratus (Limitations with the motors that were around back in 06). I bought a Synergy with the sole intentions of making it a E heli from the git go. To see Matt come out with a factory conversion kit has really made me quite happy.. I don't see anything but good coming down the pipe from them.

So go on and stirr the pot, I love my E Synergy, been loving it since 2007.

Keep up the good work Matt..
