For those that actually run a business doing this, where do you get most of your customers? Real estate?

Helicopters - 1000 parts flying in formation.

Customers
You want to obtain as many customers as possible so get a telephone book and look under every heading in the yellow pages and imagine which listings might need your work: Attorneys for estates, builders (contractors) for their clients and for their compliance records,Accountants for some of their clients, Real Estate Brokers, Land Developers, Businesses being built, etc. Let your imagination roam then do research with all of the potential clients. But most of all define for yourself what you can offer before seeking customers. They will need to know.
