Thats what I'm trying to do!!!
My only real concern is for parts replacement down time. Other than that, its the heli I really want. THis way i can keep my raptor 50 in hte Bell 407and can just fly the gasser around for fun and Pictures. Then i can put on a video camera on the gasser and a bigger water bucket so i can kick Dr. Tim in the good leg down at Circumgyration!!!

mike:

i got my benizine flying at the las vegas fun fly. josef brought me a part i needed!

trouble with having the benzine is that my rappy 50 in the longranger fuselage, with your landing gear, sits on the bench. maybe i will fly it tomrrow!

get the benzine going and you will love it. if you want to compete with dr. tim, you better take it down to hurricane country and get some practice. i went to the field on sunday for the fun fly, put the tables and other items that were blowing away, and went home. little did i know that tim would fly the airwolf to make sure he won the scale!

just do it!

Thanks to all who tole me abut Jennifer's Bergen and that is going to be a sweet deal for the one who get it!!!! Only thing I really need to get is the Carb for the G23 and another reciever for the Bell 407 and then i can keep the 407 flying wiht out taking it apart when i want to take pictures!!!

hay Nels, I want to see that raptor!! I want to see how the gear looks on there as i havent see the regular gear on that fuse. Thinking I might make a set for mine!!

So Mike,
Are you going to start making 'super' buckets now out of gallon buckets? Then we can all chase Dr. Tim around the ramp trying to give him an impromptu shower

HELL YEAH!!!
I jsut sent him off a bucket that was twice as big as ours. 5 lbs of water, bout 2 qts. I;ve got some small buckets at the shop that i need to find out how heavy they are going to be full of water. les see, 2 1/2 gal at 8.8 lbs per gal is 22 lbs!! dont know if the benzine will lift that in a fuse or not. After all this is a SCALE competition. I'd do it jsut to see if it would do it!!

LOOK OUT DR. TIM!!! ITS TIME FOR YOUR YEARLY SHOWER!!!

Do i need to get anything with the new carb for the G23?? I'm getting the WT-603. And what about the shielding of the spark plug?? the motor is from Vario so is there something i should do to the stock set up to keep the RF interference down? I am going to use PPM for the reciever and i've heard alot about grounding certain things ( things that i cant name off now)??
Looks like my family will be going with me to Seattle to pick this bird up!! I'M GIDDY WITH ATICIPATION!!!!!:d:d:d
OH, one other thing, how are you guys adn galls puttin the fuel in?? hand crank?? taking off the cap and pouring it in??

Things you likely required.. are as followed.

4321 Ignition Cable-Supressor set - RF suppressor

830/68 Fine mesh petrol filter

1022/5 Air Filter and Choke

Dubro Petrol Squeeze pump - for filling

Amsoil 100:1 oil
I am using PPM on mine.. no interference issue.
taking off the cap and pouring it in??
haha.. funny.. you get mess everywhere and it stinks..

Mike,
most of the stuff can be get at vario dealers.. Moore Vario or Vario USA since you are closest to the west coast.

Dubro squeeze pump can be obtained from your LHS. I don't think choke and filter comes with motor ..

Mike,
Stop by Ulitmate Hobbies on your way back down south. Talk to Bruce he will probably have most of that.
E-mail me for directions if you need them and when you are coming up this way.

Oh boy this sounds like fun...

Mike:

Check out AutoZone for a K&S type breather filter. They have them in cool anodized color endcaps. You can get one for under $10 and modify it to fit your carb instead of buying the Vario version for $47. Look in the aisle with all the chrome goodies for the engine compartment.

Thanks Mark!!!
I was wondering if i was going to have to buy the special stack to get the K&N filter to work. On one of the sites that some one sent me for the carb, they have a flatter filter just for the 603 carb. thought it was really kool lookin!!
