My Raptor 30 V2 climbs really slowly. I have arond -10 to +10 pitch range. I also only use 10% coolpower.
My question is what pitch range are you all using, and what fuel.

Sounds like your ATV's are off, Try to find an experienced pilot in your area. If you can’t find one then Ray’s Authoritative Helicopter Manual has a very good section explaining ATV’s and how to set them correctly or search RR for ATV’s.

Peter, I doubt your ATV's are off. 10º with 10% is a bit much. Also, your headspeed should be in the 1750-1800 range.

10 degree's pitch is a bit high, I see you live in the UK so higher nitro is out of the question try lowering your pitch to +8 -8.

If changing your pitch does not work check out Rick's Web Site

http://www.rcheli.com/

On the left select TIPS then select Setting up your throttle

You might find your answer here.

Which engine are you running? Don't you expect too much from a 30 size engine especially with loe nitro fuel? My R30 V2 with OS32 running with 15% CP also climbs like a turtle!

Wood Blades?
If you are running the stock woodies, check to see if the clear covering is loose- this will kill the performance big time

You can retighten it using steam. A heat gun can melt the plastic.

Hi,
If your using the TT.39 pro then your tuning may be slightly out. Very small adjustments in needle settings may sort your problems. My .39 seemed to run fine apart from climb rate, just didn't have the needles spot on. My os.32 is a sinch to tune in comparison

Good Luck !
