My flybarless Swift 16
Here some pics of my modified Swift 16 with the Mikado V-Stabi (flybarless).

There are some moddings on the model:

- mechanical reduction of the swashplate movement

- tail modified to accomodate the TRex 600 tail rotor

- Main mast (with 3rd bearing support) lowered by 20mm

It's the complete tail unit from a TRex 600 (the one that came with the stock ALU kit).

I've only grinded a flat on the original tail shaft to accomodate the TRex tail hub.

It works like a charm and it is very powerful.

The attitude of the model with the V-Stabi it's completely different from the stock Swift.

The rolls and flips are lightning fast now!!!

And the model seems more powerful (I'm using the same motor/battery/pinion combo I've used on the stock Swift)

I've only 4 flights on it till now, but I'm very satisfied.

And I've not changed the expert parameters!!!!!!!

Next time I'll post some EagleTree graph and the V-Stabi config.

My Swift 16 it's like a 'laboratory test machine'.

YUP. The swift is a fantastic lab rat. Easy to mod, simple mechanics, endless possibilities.

Good job on the flybarless. The tail mod is cool too.
Could you post a link to where you got the Trex 600 tail set? And are there trust bearings in those tail grips??

Cheers.

The tail set is composed by the radial bearing blade grips and hub provided with the kit (I've one in my spare box)

You can also use the H60109 - Upgrade thrust raced tail hub and grips .

What a clean setup- Is the sensor in the rear the only one used? that must be the new version coming out soon. I hear they will be out soon with the release of the new 600 3d mikado- can I say that here?

I would love 20% more power. Did you stretch the boom or use the trex boom so you can run 600's or 610's?

That will look even better with the CF frames-

I use the V-Stabi w/o the speed sensor.

The new firmware release works well w/o the sensor.

I use the std tail boom.

How stable is it in the wind?
I am really annoyed with my flybar setup constantly tilting in the wind depending on how it's positioned. What I want is the heli to stand still no matter how the wind blows and I want the heli to fly straight back and forth.
Can you do that with V-Stabi?
Thanks.

Sounds like you need to learn how to fly.
Or maybe get an airplane.
