Evo freya 90 thoughts?
SO I posted this on the hirobo page but thought I might get more unbiased opinions here. I am about to buy an evo freya 90 and just want to know what everyone else thinks about this bird? From what ive read it seems like a good deal at $600.00 Can any one recomend any thing else in the save class/price range? I would love to buy a gasser, but cant seem to find any in my price range(@1000USD). I have seem a few used ones for 1000.00, but got burned on my last used heli. I think I wanna start w a new kit, and not risk getting screwed. Please let me know what you all think.
Thanks Cope44

If what you're looking for is the smoothest bird ever for the money - then you've totally got the right bird. If you're looking for a 3D monster - than probably not, but there's a new head on the way that should take care of that....

Can't go wrong with Hirobo quality and support either (Jeff Green's freakin awesome!)

Whoa that is some killer flying! I like all the smoke also. Yep I think I'll call Ricks on Monday. Any one else, owners/haters? Everyones opinion will be considered. Ps no LHS support so dont worry about that. I own a shuttle zxx so I do like the Hirobo stuff.
Lets hear it, what do you guys think?

Cope,
You can't go wrong with an Evo 90. Great heli right out of the box.

I own two, one eagle freya x-spec 90 and one evo x-spec 90. Both are upgraded versions of the freya but i would imagine they fly the same with the evo x-spec being more 3d ish.

I love them both and you can't go wrong with any Hirobo heli. Top notch customer support.

Freya is a good heli for the money. Probably the best deal out there for sport flying. If you don't beat it too hard, it will be a great heli for you.Paul Soha is a free agent now. Wow.

I love my evo 90. Yes it is heavier than a status or a n9, but I can't feel it. My heli is a rocket. I can easily piroflip, tic-toc, tail slide and any 3d manuver. A good power plant will make it come to life. The only upgrade I have planned for it is the ccpm conversion. The key to this heli is having the head programmed correctly. Most people don't have it set right then complain it's too slow.
Here's my setup:

Radix 710 sb's vpaddles&tail
omi modded cspec/ MP5 on PM 30%
611
revmax set to 1950 in idle2
9252 on cyclic 7 degrees
9151 on collective +/- 12
555mm flybar
metal radius block (a must have for 3d)
new sprage auto hub(a must have)
Carbon extreme yoke dampners
Lungs transformed to take in water.

Hi guys

There was a post in the Hirobo section about this 'new' 3D Masters machine.

I understand it was a Stock Evo90 Option Kit. This Option kit has the same plastic frames but comes with the full metal head and some other metal upgrades as standard. I believe that a carbon boom, boom supports and CCPM conversion were also added to the machine. I also understand that a new 3D head was used for the freestyle section.

Does anyone have a picture of the new head ?

Regards

Paul

I dunno . . . most of the pix I have seen were pretty small, but looked like nothing more than an all-metal Evo head . . . Maybe I have been looking at the wrong pictures . . . . (and if that last one was any smaller, I would need to get out my binoculars!!! )
