Phoenix or Realflight?
Well I pretty much had my mind made up on realflight when I saw alot of info and how good Phoenix is. That it deals alot with physics. And many say it is better. Anyone have any expierance with one or the other and can tell me which may be the better buy for a complete noob. Also does Phoenix come with a controller?

The Phoenix sim does not come with a controller. You have to use your own. I've tried the realfligh and it is very good. I've ordered the phoenix sim and should be here next week, so I can't comment on it yet. With the realflight, you can also use your own conroller by plugging it into the back of the controller that comes with it.

My choice
Phoenix for me.
To my mind I got the same from both but the phoenix was almost half the price.
By using my own controller, I get the same feel irrespective of whether I am flying real or virtually!!!

Unfortunately, the crashing in real time costs more!

Jadynn,

Phoenix comes with a universal USB adapter to hook your transmitter up to your PC.

The sim itself is really great.

One feature that I really like is the autorotation training. It also has hover training for those just starting out.

G2 here. Cheap, real cheap and does what it is intended for. Beside I like the cartoon look more then the newer sims. You can get G2 for 1/3 the cost of Phoenix.. Only real diff is night flight. But you want night flight.. Just darken you moniter

Realflight G3

Especially if ur just starting off and don't have a transmitter yet. Just load the discs, plug in the dummy TX and your flying! Means u can do a lot of practice on a lot of different models and eventually decide on what your first heli will be.

Don't be fooled tho, sims just teach the thumbs. Some things are much harder in real life and some things are much easier.

Good luck

We have Phoenix, Reflex, FS-One and G3 set up at the shop. Phoenix gets the most use by far.
