YS80 ST
I am in need of some help.

While replacing the rear bearing I cracked the piston ring putting things back together.

I would like to know if anyone can tell me where/who I can contact to get a new ring??!!

The part number is S4107.

I have noticed that the 60SR has the same bore size... would that piston ring be interchangeable?

Any help is appreciated!!

Cheers

Not sure if they cover Canada, but the distributor/part supplier for the US is http://www.yspartsandservice.com. They may cover all of North America,
dunno - I suggest you call and ask.

The only other thought might be to pick up a used motor for parts.....

I see them here on RR from time to time.... Try the "search" function to see if there are any currently available.....

Try some of the plank sites. I know there is a guy out there that either has or can make rings for anything . . . I just for the life of me can't remember his d**n name . . .

I'm not sure where you got that part number. The correct part number is YS4450 which is the piston ring for the YS80ST. You might check with YSPARTSANDSERVICE using that number. I do have a very low time used one in the package here that I removed from an engine thinking the ring was causing problems but as it tuned out I had a carb issue. I will give it to you if you want it.
