Best simulator HELP
I have been looking for a great simulator to learn 3d on helicopters. In a lot of forums from 2006 said that G3.5 was good but a little sloppy and not so real with controlling the heli, have they fixed the problem or is there something better. How about FSone looks good also but I'm not sure if that is the most real life flying. I wanted a simulator after I bought my cpp in July so I got pre flight off of ebay for $39.95 man was that a piece of sh##. I spent 17 days running to the mailbox in excitment waiting for the simulator. When It arrived I spent 2 days goofing around trying to get the controls dialed in with my stock cpp controller I finally gave up realizing you get what you pay for, so any help on what is better (realflight, FSone, reflex xtr, or phoenix) would be great so I don't waste any more money on this hobby than needed thanks.

I have been flying since January and I find g3.5 really good. I have heard a lot of good comments from others on here too. I bought a couple of ebay CP Pros to fix up and one came with "Pre Flight" and to be honest I threw it in the trash. All I heard is everyone saying they hated it. One quality on G3.5 I like is to increase the "physics" which turns up the sensitivity level. Your heli responds so much faster. Or slower if you like. you can try tricks in almost slow motion and then speed them up as you get better. I am one who has had nothing but success with the Blade CP & CP Pro and I can tell you I find reality speed to around 120 to 130 on the physics speed. You can dial it up to 180 or so. I usually train up to a settign of 150, far quicker than reality. At that point I know I am ready to try these tricks on my CP Pro.

A fellow flyer who flys nitro has the Reflex Xtr simulator and swears by it.
As for g3.5 or Reflex xtr, I think you won't go wrong with either.

As always, you will get more opininions and read them all before you buy, but you are heading in the proper direction. I can say the $200 I paid for the G3.5 is well worth the money when considering all those crashes and money I'd be wasting if I hadn't bought the g3.5
Good luck

I have FSOne and FMS.

I bought FSOne to practice with my DX7. The "camera" angles are so bad that I find it very difficult to use - so I don't. I would NOT recommend FSOne to anyone.

I use FMS to practice, using the BCPP transmitter - cheap but close enough to reality to train my thumbs prior to trying it with my BCPP.

It took me longer to install FMS than I actually used it. And like
dignlivn I too ended up with a simulator Called the Blade cp pro and $175 in parts but don't regret any of it.

I did say "was", i'm flying a pro
now. I still have the BCP, but it
now has a DD tail and BH head. If it
had a better rx than the 4n1 I would
fly it more.lol.

Thanks for the good ideas guys. I agree the real thing is better but I was getting tired of not flying because my heli was always on the bench getting worked on. So I did try fsone and G3.5. Still have not decided thanks again for all the help guys.
