Its called blade woof.

There's a couple things that can cause it. Slop in the collective system, crappy blades, a bent spindle shaft, a bent screw holding the ball to the blade grip, loose fit of the radial bearings in the blade grips and improperly assembled thrust bearings.

Yep.

Woof is the noise when the blades go out of track.

Poof is when they go so far they hit the tail boom and the helicopter explodes in mid air.

Chris, I've fixed several of these, feel free to make the trip to jax if you want to hang with a fun crowd for a day, I'm fairly certain you will leave with it either fixed or knowing what you need to get to fix it.

Woof
I have a EVO 50 and the blades are tracking fine in a hover I took it out for a sipn around the field and in fast foward flight I thought I had the same woof woof woof sound and it stoped just as soon as it started. Someone told me it might be the head over spinning should I worry about this it lasted just about 2 sec and stoped !Im using MHA blades

Chris pm me if you need directions. We have visitors all the time. Where you turn on 295 from 95 to hit Hobby World, you simply go the otherway, South on 9A towards the Dames Point Bridge to get to our field.

This was shot on a day most (but not all) of us happened to be there.
