Cell Phone Deals
Well, just figured i'd share. I have vonage right now, which is a great home phone except no one can get a hold of me, and I didn't wanna pay the outrageous cell phone prices these days.

Soooo, after checking allll the plans, tmobile, verizon, alltel, sprint, cingular, cricket...I found that Sprint was the best deal by far.

They have 1250 anytime minutes, with unlimited data, text msging, picture messaging, and nights and weekends starting at 7pm for 49.99 a month.

I couldn't find a better deal but if anybody wants to hop on this bandwagon head to this site its a referral program for employee pricing

http://www.sprint.com/sero

email address to input:

tristan.kime@sprint.com

I GET NO CREDIT Or Money for this, just letting all you out there get in on this sweet pricing!

Sprint has a thing where if you refer somebody, both you and the new customer get a debit card with $25 on it.

I've been with Sprint for the last 5 years or so, on a family plan with 4 numbers. At the time I picked Sprint they were quite a bit cheaper than anyone else, right now I'd say the same plan would cost about the same with Verizon too.

I've found that Sprint are fairly pleasant to deal with- their customer service seems much better than either AT&T or Verizon.

My biggest complaint with Sprint is their service is a bit patchy. There seem to be quite a few places where Verizon has a signal when Sprint doesn't.

I've had Sprint for years as well. Like has been said some times the coverage is spotty but if you are in a larger urban area you are OK.

One thing you have to do is keep an eye on your bills as they tend to charge for things that were not supplied. Also they are a bit ruthlesswith cutoffs. We are on a auto withdrawal with them and a couple of times they have pulled the money from the account and then wires got crossed and the accounts dept. or someone didn't get notified and they simply just shut your phone off. It never takes too long to get it back on but for cryin' out loud you'd think after spending thousands of dollars with them they would give you a courtesy call. It's not like they don't have your phone number...

%&$* SPRINT!
I had Sprint, didnt like their customer service. (had Nextel before the merger)

When I was in the Navy, I would have my phone suspended untill I'd come back from a deployment (6 months)

This one time, I call up their customer service line just hours before I got underway.
I spoke to the first operator, told her what I wanted, she said she'd transfer me to another department.

On hold for 5 minutes.

Call gets answered...

"Sir, who are you holding for?"

Call goes back on hold for 5 minutes.

Call gets answered, "oh, we need to transfer you to THIS department.

On hold...

Call gets transferred, wrong department again, back on hold.

Someone answers, its the same department.

I get pissed, because Ive been going through this ordeal for about 45 minutes so far.

Some guy answers, says, "ok, I'll transfer you"

I got transferred to my own %^*#$^%& voicemail!!!!!

That means, I have to call back, start all over again!! But no! There isnt time now. I have to go to sea, on a frickin' submarine, where I DONT get cell phone service for the next 6 &*$%#$ months, and IM going to pay $60 a month for that.

Oh, and since I cant pay a bill while I am at sea on a &*^%&$(*& submarine, I cant pay a phone bill either.

So guess what happens????!?!?!?!?!

I hate Sprint, because they don't give a *&%$ about those defending their freedom.

Sprint is the worst IMO. I have a few friends on Sprint. Good luck getting through to them. Spoty at best service. Horibble slow times on txt msging from a decent network to sprint.

Sprint has managed to lower the bar...

I guess customer service is no longer.

Please report that 5 gig limit isn't part of sprint, thats a Verizon thing.

As for sprint, i'm in phoenix so service shouldn't be a problem, had I lived in a nowhere land then possibly.

also that second bill is due to a increase in NY state taxes, not sprints fault.

As for verizon, f them, I had nothing but problems with my bill. One month it was 120 other months it was 182 or more, that place stinks, i'm so glad i'm not with them anymore.

Grant H. you are in maryland, so I can't talk about the service coverage in that area, however Tmobile has the same coverage as sprint in Phoenix and no one has reported any problems with them...Sure verizon has better coverage they also charge an extra 40 a month for it.
