charging with a 1010c and 210 balancer
I want to make sure that I know how to do this before I try it.

I got the tp1010c and a 210 hooked up. I want to know do I just hook up the balancing tabs along with the charging plugs from the charger (deans for me). Then do everything normally? do I have to press start on the balancer sometime?

You got it.
As long as your charger is set to charge the right amount of cells, it will work a treat.
Once you have pressed the red button, It wil take about 10 seconds looking at the balancer and checking the charge rate set in the charger matches the number of cells of the connected pack, then once it is happy, will continue with the charge.
If at any time it sees an imbalance in the cells, or 1 cell going over the maximum charge (4.25 V if I remember)the charge process will stop.
